Committee to Consider Two Bills during Wednesday Meeting

The Senate Finance Committee will consider two bills, including a measure to support fundraising efforts by Pennsylvania’s volunteer fire departments, at its meeting set for Wednesday, March 27, according to Committee Chairman Scott Hutchinson. 

The meeting is set for 10 a.m. in Room 8E-A in the East Wing of the State Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.

Senate Bill 83, sponsored by Senator Scott Martin, exempts volunteer fire companies from paying sales tax on food and beverages sold for fundraising efforts.

Senate Bill 471, sponsored by Senator Hutchinson, establishes a sales and use tax exemption for certain equipment purchased by data centers and their tenants.
