Senator Scott E. Hutchinson has announced that his office is accepting applicants for the State Military College Legislative Appointment Initiative Program. Pursuant to Act 29 of 2012, legislators may establish a selection committee to review applications and award one appointment annually to Valley Forge Military College.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must be Pennsylvania residents and have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and a combined math and verbal SAT score of at least 1000 (or an ACT score of 20). A recipient of an appointment through the program is eligible for a financial award of up to $17,500 per year, dependent on high school GPA. Complete applications must be received in Senator Hutchinson’s office by Friday, June 14.
