The Scrubgrass Senior Center in Venango County will receive a $57,800 2014-15 Senior Community Center Grant from the state Department of Aging, according to Senator Scott Hutchinson.
The grant is one of 67 awarded statewide intended to help centers modernize, encourage technology improvements, expand innovative programming, and better meet the needs of their current and future participants.
“This is great news for our area,” Senator Hutchinson said. “We have many older residents in Pennsylvania served by a number of senior citizens centers across our counties. It’s gratifying to see that Scrubgrass Senior Center is receiving this grant to benefit our local residents.”
