Senator Scott E. Hutchinson is accepting applications from students interested in the State Military College Legislative Appointment Initiative Program. Under Act 29 of 2012, each state legislator may award one appointment annually to Valley Forge Military College.
Located in Delaware County, Valley Forge Military College offers freshman and sophomore undergraduate coursework in preparation for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must be Pennsylvania residents and have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and a combined math and verbal SAT score of at least 1000 (or an ACT score of 20). A recipient of an appointment through the program is eligible for a financial award of up to $17,500 per year, dependent on high school GPA.
