A variety of projects in the City of Butler, Butler County, will receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding totaling $274,500, according to Senator Scott Hutchinson.
CDBG funding, which is administered by the state Department of Community and Economic Development, supports projects such as housing rehabilitation, pubic services, community facilities, infrastructure improvement, development and planning in low- and moderate-income areas.
Butler will use the money for street and sidewalk improvements, housing rehabilitation and fire station equipment.
“This is great news for Butler,” said Senator Hutchinson. “These grants are another part of the state’s effort to boost economic development and improve the quality of life in our local communities.”
