Local Projects Receive $675,369 in CDBG Funding

Projects in Clarion County and the City of Franklin, Venango County, will receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding totaling $675,369, according to Senator Scott Hutchinson.

CDBG funding, which is administered by the state Department of Community and Economic Development, supports projects such as housing rehabilitation, pubic services, community facilities, infrastructure improvement, development and planning in low- and moderate-income areas.

In Clarion County, $400,869 in funding will support sewer projects in East Brady and the Fairmount City area and improve the access road and upgrade the recreation equipment at the Community Park in Clarion Borough.

Franklin will receive $274,500 for street paving projects and improvements to the swimming pool and bathhouse at the Miller Sibley Recreational Complex in neighboring Sugarcreek Borough.
