Butler Township receives $212,500 State Recreation Grant

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) today (September 17) approved a major grant to improve a community park in Butler Township, Butler County, according to Senator Scott Hutchinson.

Butler Township was awarded a $212,500 Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program grant to construct a modern restroom at Preston Park.

“Our local parks are a key part of communities and they enhance the quality of life for residents,” said Senator Hutchinson. “This grant will certainly improve Preston Park and allow for more people, especially families, to enjoy the facility.”

The CFA was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus packages. The CFA holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
